This feeder is awesome!! My daughter is so excited about being able to see the birds so closely. We currently have it attached to the tree in our backyard, but we plan to permanently mount it to our fence. Both ways of mounting were luckily provided, so it'll work for whatever needs you have! It was easy to put together and get the camera set up with the app, as well. The bird identification does require a subscription, but being able to see through the camera on the app is free! The video quality is actually much better than I was expecting, as well, and the solar panel keeps the camera charged with no problems at all. I'd definitely recommend this for any bird lover!
The feeder wasn’t too bad to set up once I got the app. Putting it together was easy. Now all I need, is for some birds to notice it!!
The feeder was very easy to put together. Having the solar panel to keep the battery charged is a great feature.
I only use the feeder to attract hummingbirds and it works wonderfully. It is nice to watch these little birds in action.

* Physical setup was easy.
* One of three screws we got for mounting the solar panel seemed like it was a wrong part, though (they sent us a non-threaded screw?). I'm using two screws for now, til I get around to finding/getting a replacement screw.
* Feeder is an overall attractive color that blends into nature (green and red/yellow for hummingbird feeder
* The solar panel keeps it powered even in the shade.
* It helps to be a little tech savvy as the UI is not as intuitive and the instructions are not as complete as they could be.
* It took a few tries to figure out exactly to get on wifi but once it is connected, the quality has been good.
* I would recommend buying a durable SD card if you want it to auto-capture. Otherwise, Cloud services are about $30/year or you can manually record video directly to your phone.
* The bird recognition service is free for 1 year, then ~$50/year after that. It will typically give 3 bird variations (like 3 variations of chickadees, etc) and it's confidence level in recognizing each of the birds.
* I don't know how effective the squirrel deterrent is... our first squirrel did leave, but the sound wasn't really all that intimidating and I expect it will be back.
* Apparently you can use the bird feeder as a speaker if you want to remotely talk to the visiting birds and squirrel.
* The feeder will send notifications and auto-record birds and squirrels
* The feeder will also allow you to view live video feed at any-time and record at-will.
Overall, with a few minor glitches, we are enjoying the feeder through the first few days.
Love our new smart bird feeder! We get notifications whenever there's a bird and can check in to see who swung by to eat! We have captured a lot of great clips so far! We even angled it in a way so our drive is covered and get notifications whenever anyone arrives to the house.
The solar panel is great and lets us not worry about the battery, and the bird feeder holds plenty of food for all the birds. We also removed the top plate of the hummingbird tray and used it as a bird bath. Overall a really versatile bird feeder and the birds around the farm just love it!

Our smart bird camera is updated with motion detection based on smarter AI. All the motion will be detected then our AI will identify the records and just keep the birds and squirrels record to generate real-time notification on our Bilantan App. It will make you get more exact bird notifications, not huge unrelated spam.
Can I download the video and share it with others?
Sure, you can. Pls follow our App using the guide video https://www.bilantan.com/pages/tutorial-video. From here you will know how to use the App. It is very easy to share on social media or send to your friends.
Can I share my device with my family?
Sure, you can. Buy 1 device then share it with your family. It is really amazing experience for bird watching. We hope all of our customers enjoy these wonderful moments with family together.
Is the cloud service free?
Cloud is not free except for the first month of use. Cloud & SD card storage are 2 storage ways. we buy space from Amazon Cloud for client storage. You have to pay the space fee as low as USD1.99/month to Amazon Cloud. We don't earn any money from Cloud. Another is Micro SD card storage which can use your own card to save the video locally.
Is the Bird ID service free?
Yes, it is a free service. Of course, the current AI is 1-year free service. But we will share this AI tech soon. Bird recognition will be free to all users. Our APP will be updated in the next few months. You will not be paid any extra money on the AI cost. Our AI will keep learning and updated accordingly.
